Moving the store to Magento 2 – step by step

ANALYSIS OF EXISTING STORE

In this phase, we analyze the entire source code of the existing store. We also discuss the most important functionalities of the store for our client. At this stage, we assess all existing integrations and modules to find out if they will be needed on Magento 2.

The next stage is to collect all existing web addresses on the store (products, categories, CMS pages) to plan a list of redirects. This is crucial during the migration so as not to lose the store’s position on Google.

Finally, we prepare documentation based on which our programmers and project managers can implement the project to achieve the most effective results.

DISCOVERY PHASE

Each new client relationship begins with a Discovery Phase. This distinguishes us from other companies that often approach the implementation of the project “on the go”. Our process prevents misunderstandings and eliminates potential problems at the implementation stage.

At this stage, we prepare a test server for our client so that they can see the results of our work as soon as possible.

Throughout implementation, we use the SCRUM method, which means that our client can influence any changes and modify the existing backlog within the budget while building a new website.

At this stage, we also transfer existing customer data and orders to the new store.

TESTS

GUARANTEE

For the period of 3 months after the implementation is finished, we operate on a warranty basis. This means that when an implementation that was described in the documentation does not work, it is repaired by our team free of charge.
